Emerging Markets

This group of databases is updated from national statistical offices, central banks and other national sources. They provide the timeliest data for the countries included with new country coverage added regularly. Haver Analytics also calculates additional seasonally adjusted series, US$ series, regional GDP aggregates, productivity and unit labor costs data.

Country Summary Statistics (EMERGE)

Key comparable macroeconomic and financial indicators with basic industry detail covering over 130 emerging market countries. As with the G10 database, Haver Analytics also calculates additional series such as seasonally adjusted data, nominal and real GDP in US$, domestic and external debt as a % of GDP, current account as a % of GDP as well as total and final domestic demand.

Latin American Macroeconomic Data (EMERGELA)

Key economic and financial indicators for 31 major Latin American economies. Data are sourced from national statistical offices, central banks and other agencies. Data include national accounts, industrial production, interest rates, money supply, consumer and producer price indexes, production, trade, business and consumer surveys, and export information on the petroleum industry.

Central & Eastern Europe and Western Asia (EMERGECW)

Comparable monthly, quarterly and annual data for 28 Central/Eastern Europe and Western Asia countries. The database offers over 260,000 series covering financial detail, national accounts by industry, price indexes, BOP, international trade, industrial production detail, retail trade, labor force indicators, and business and consumer surveys from national statistical offices and central banks.

Middle East and African Emerging Markets (EMERGEMA)

Provides timely macroeconomic and financial data for 48 key Middle Eastern and African countries, including Turkey, Egypt, Israel, South Africa and GCC countries. Monthly, quarterly and annual series includes detail for finance, national accounts, price indexes, employment, trade and surveys.

Asia/Pacific Rim Emerging Markets (EMERGEPR)

Database providing over 290,000 timely macroeconomic and financial statistics for 25 major Asia/Pacific Rim emerging economies including China and India. Includes industry detail for national accounts, price indexes and employment, various construction indicators, business and consumer surveys and public finance detail. Data begin as early as the 1920’s.

China Trade Detail (CNTRADE)

Provides monthly detailed China trade by country and commodity data from the General Administration of Customs. 2- and 4-digit HS commodity year-to-date exports and imports for over 1,300 distinct commodities with all partner countries begin in 2017. It also contains 2-digit HS monthly flow detail with all partner countries as well as trade by major commodity, SITC and customs regime. Haver estimates values for January and February for selected series.

Emerging Markets:
Regional Country Detail

This group of databases is updated from national statistical offices, central banks and other national sources. They provide the timeliest data for the countries included with new country coverage added regularly. Haver Analytics also calculates additional seasonally adjusted series, US$ series, regional GDP aggregates, productivity and unit labor costs data.

ASEAN Countries (ASEANR)

Covering seven ASEAN member countries, this database provides detailed data for provinces, states, cities, towns, regions or ports. It contains many useful data sets for the ASEAN-5 — Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand —Vietnam and Brunei such as regional data for GDP, residential property prices, CPI, consumer confidence and expectations, trade in goods, tourism and IP depending on the country.

Central & Eastern Europe and Western Asia (CWR)

Offers macroeconomic indicators for the provinces/voivodeships, regions and districts of the countries in central and eastern Europe and western Asia including Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine. Coverage varies by country and region but most major indicators covering national accounts, prices, employment, construction and population will be available at the frequency reported by the source.

China (CHINAR)

Covers regional indicators from sources such as the People’s Bank of China, the National Bureau of Statistics, the China Index Academy/Soufun and the National Development and Reform Commission and offers data for all of the principal categories for which we collect statistics. Detailed financial statistics, national accounts, employment indicators, price indexes, retail sales, motor vehicle registrations and demographic data are covered.

India (INDIAR)

Covers 28 states, eight union territories and a number of cities for concepts such as GDP, house prices, employment, wage rates, public finance and debt. The Annual Survey of Industries from the NSO provides industry characteristics such as the number of factories, investment, employment and output by state. Other concepts include rainfall by meteorological division, national highway expenditures from the Ministry of Statistics & Program Implementation and port activity from the Indian Ports Association.

Latin America (LATAMR)

Contains macro and demographic data for Mexico and Brazil. These data cover states, regions and cities for national accounts, construction, production, prices, employment, earnings, trade and demographics data as reported by different country specific sources.

Middle East and North Africa (MENAR)

Focuses on the Middle East and eventually North Africa with regional macroeconomic, financial and demographic series for Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. Some indicators have also been added for Jordan and Qatar. It provides main indicators at the subnational and city level.

Sub-Saharan Africa (SUBAFR)

Focuses on regions of Sub-Saharan African countries with considerable coverage for the nine provinces of South Africa. Also contains data for selected macroeconomic indicators for Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Cameroon and Zambia.
