The CBoC dataset available through Haver Analytics encompasses:
- Quarterly forecasts with 5- and 20-year horizons for Canada, all 10 provinces, 3 territories, and 24 metropolitan areas. These forecasts cover GDP (total and by industry), employment, wages, labour force, consumer spending, housing, trade (interprovincial and international), investment, government finance, population, and prices.
- Monthly consumer confidence indexes segmented by region, age group, sex, and marital status, with data available from 2002. These indexes offer a nuanced view of consumer sentiment across different demographics.
- Quarterly business confidence surveys of senior Canadian executives, dating back to 1998. These surveys report on company financial outlooks, sales expectations, investment intentions, and economic sentiment.
All data from The Conference Board of Canada are delivered through Haver’s DLX® databases and are accessible via our full suite of desktop and data delivery tools, including VG3. Series are updated quarterly or monthly, depending on frequency.
